- Set the frame. Seat the box slightly into the ground for extra stability and insulation, then check that it’s level side to side.
- Attach the lid. Set the sash on top to confirm the fit, then secure it with strap hinges or removable pin hinges along the back edge.

Common Mistakes and Using Your Cold Frame
The biggest day-to-day mistake is leaving the lid closed on a sunny day.
