Lawn Gear Lab is a lawn care, gardening, and outdoor living resource run by Mo & Rikta — a couple who genuinely love spending time outdoors, getting their hands in the soil, and figuring out what actually works in a real backyard. We cover everything from mowing schedules and fertilizer guides to honest tool reviews and seasonal garden projects, all written in plain language that’s easy to act on.
Our goal is simple: help you grow a healthier, greener outdoor space with less guesswork, less wasted money, and more confidence in every decision you make for your yard.

Lawn Gear Lab started the way most good things do — out of personal frustration. Like a lot of homeowners, we spent hours searching for reliable answers about lawn care and gardening, only to find content that was either too vague, written for professionals, or quietly pushing products without any real research behind the recommendations.
So we decided to build the resource we wished existed. One that explains the “why” behind every tip, treats readers as intelligent adults, and only recommends products because they’re genuinely good — not because they pay the highest commission.
What started as weekend projects in our own yard eventually became Lawn Gear Lab — a place for anyone who wants to take better care of their outdoor space without the guesswork.
